ConvertMaster Pro ("ConvertMaster Pro", "we", "our", or "us") provides engineering calculations, physical unit conversion matrices, and contractor tools accessible via convertmaster.pro. We firmly believe that utility tools should not invade user privacy.

Zero Server-Side User Profiles: ConvertMaster Pro does not require user accounts, passwords, or credit card numbers. All core unit conversions, electrical engineering algorithms, and metric transformations execute entirely inside your local web browser engine.

Like virtually all web applications, our hosting and content delivery network (CDN) edge servers automatically log standard network request data, including:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address (anonymized/truncated where feasible)
  • Browser user-agent string and operating system version
  • Referring/exit page URLs and timestamp of request
  • HTTP response status code and data transfer size

This log data is utilized strictly for system administration, DDoS mitigation, and server performance monitoring. We never correlate log entries with individual human identities.

To maintain ConvertMaster Pro as a 100% free resource for engineers, electricians, students, and professionals globally, we partner with third-party advertising vendors, predominantly Google AdSense.

4. LocalStorage & Offline Calculation Privacy

ConvertMaster Pro utilizes the modern browser window.localStorage API rather than persistent server-side database records.

  • Recently Used Conversions: When you compute a conversion, the input value and selected unit pair are saved in your device's localStorage under the key cm_recent_conversions_v2 so you can review recent history.
  • Saved Favorites: Starred unit pairs and engineering formulas are saved locally under cm_saved_favorites_v2.
  • UI Theme Mode: Your preference between Light and Dark mode is saved under convertmaster_theme.
Your Device, Your Data: This data never leaves your browser sandbox. We cannot view, inspect, or sell your conversion history. Clicking "Clear History" in the UI instantly and permanently purges this data from your device.

5. European Union & UK GDPR Rights

If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you possess distinct statutory rights under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation):

  1. Right of Access: You have the right to request confirmation regarding whether we process your personal data and obtain a copy thereof.
  2. Right to Rectification: You may request corrections to any incomplete or inaccurate data we hold about you.
